One of the most important assignments candidates complete on the Level 3 Award in Education and Training course is the microteaching, which is where each member of the class teaches a short sample lesson to the group. This lesson can be on any subject, most people prefer to choose the subject which they are eventually going to teach after the course. The instructor guides everybody through exactly what needs doing in terms of preparing and planning this lesson. Microteaching is an important chance for candidates to teach in a supportive and risk free environment, gaining vital skills and confidence. It also enables them to apply what they have learned in a practical manner.
